By the Blade is a story about Richard Lowman, a nowhere-man whose greatest accomplishment in life was always filing his taxes on time. Yet he discovers he might hold the fate of the world in his hands. But will he accept the truth of his existence before he is murdered by the great love of his life?

Spanning epic battles in feudal Japan to sprawling 21st century urban landscapes, By the Blade features heroes and villains who are reincarnated to face each other lifetime after lifetime. When Richard Lowman, a telemarketer who lives a life of quiet desperation, is told he is one such hero by a vagrant teenager, he dismisses the idea. But when an ancient enemy sends an equally ancient love to kill him, Lowman is forced to come face-to-face with his own life, and his destiny.

By the Blade was created and written by Grant LaFleche. The story is brought to life by the amazing art team of Federico Zumel (pencils) Jack Purcell and Costas Panourgias (inks) Thomas White (letters) Richard Bailey and Mihai Constantin(colours) and Dan Schoening (concept designs) and Garry Brown (Covers).
